Jessica Clohesy spent 6 months driving the entire country to find the answer to this question. She met beggars and stock market traders, alien abductees and illegal immigrants, street poets and Hollywood producers. And they all had a story to tell about what it was to be an American at the dawn of the 21st Century, in a country framed by Bush, Bin Laden and the Bible.

Their one uniting factor: the American Dream. An ideal through which they could all reach personal fulfilment. Inspired by them, Jessica decides she needs to fulfil her own American Dream: to make it as a country singer.
